Solar Hot Water Generation

At V R Technologies, we lead in solar hot water generation, leveraging advanced technology to harness the power of the sun for eco-friendly and cost-effective water heating solutions, contributing to sustainable energy practices and reducing carbon footprints.

Solar hot water generation, also known as solar thermal water heating, is a process that utilizes solar energy to heat water for various purposes such as domestic use, space heating, and industrial applications. It involves the use of solar collectors to absorb sunlight and transfer the collected heat to water, which is then stored for later use or directly distributed to meet hot water demands.

  • Solar Collectors: Solar collectors are devices designed to absorb sunlight and convert it into heat energy. There are different types of solar collectors, but the most common ones used for hot water generation are flat-plate collectors and evacuated tube collectors. These collectors are usually installed on rooftops or in open areas with good exposure to sunlight.
  • Heat Transfer: The solar collectors contain a heat-absorbing material, often copper or aluminum, which absorbs sunlight and converts it into heat. As sunlight strikes the absorber surface, it heats up, transferring thermal energy to a fluid circulating within the collector.
  • Circulation System: The fluid used in the solar collector, known as the heat transfer fluid, can be water or an anti-freeze solution such as glycol. This fluid absorbs heat from the collector and is circulated through a series of pipes or tubes to transfer the heat to a storage tank or directly to the point of use.
