Reverse Osmosis

At V R Technologies, our expertise in reverse osmosis technology ensures the delivery of high-quality water purification solutions. Using advanced processes, our RO systems effectively remove impurities, providing clean and safe drinking water for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to remove ions, molecules, and larger particles from water. It is widely used in both residential and commercial settings to produce clean and pure drinking water from various sources, including seawater, brackish water, and contaminated groundwater. Reverse osmosis is highly effective at removing contaminants such as dissolved salts, minerals, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities, making it one of the most advanced methods of water treatment.

  • Pre-treatment: Before entering the reverse osmosis system, the feed water typically undergoes pre-treatment to remove larger particles, sediment, and chlorine that could damage the RO membrane. This may involve sediment filtration, activated carbon filtration, and sometimes additional chemical treatment.
  • Reverse Osmosis: The pre-treated water is pressurized and forced through a semi-permeable membrane with extremely small pores. These pores are small enough to allow water molecules to pass through but effectively block the passage of dissolved salts, minerals, and other contaminants.
  • Post-treatment: After passing through the RO membrane, the purified water may undergo post-treatment to further enhance its quality and taste. This can involve additional filtration, remineralization, or disinfection processes to ensure the water meets drinking water standards and tastes good.
